Gerald Wesley Freland, 83, died Feb. 9, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach
He was born in Cincinnati and lived in Sebastian for 17 years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired tile setter.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Joyce Freland of Sebastian; daughter, Jessica Fredericksen of Sebastian; son, James C. Tappan of Lake Wales; sister, Geraldine Wiedman of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Isaac, Wesley, Donald and Paul Freland; and sister, Marie Gerth.
