Lee Griffin Sr., 70, died Feb. 2, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Boston and lived in Sebastian since 2001, coming from Buffalo, N.Y. He was chief of police at the State University of New York-Buffalo, a former N.Y. state trooper and past president of IACLEA.
He served in the Army in Korea. He was a member of the Italian-American Club, the Sebastian Golf Course and volunteered for the Red Cross.
Survivors include his son Lee Griffin Jr. of Tampa; daughters, Kelly Mitra of Orlando and Noel Fotus of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; brother, Thomas Griffin of Buffalo; companion, Linda Scott; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean.
