VERO BEACH – Mark the date Saturday, April 17 on your calendar. That’s the day the Hibiscus Festival will bring back, by popular demand, Beatles Remembered, a 1960’s Beatles Tribute and British Invasion Band. Nearly 5,000 people attended last year’s evening street party following the all day festival and were overjoyed with the band that played all of our old time favorite Beatles hits, dressed to match the musicians we knew and loved.
Sponsored by Bill Bryant & Associates and chaired by Marine Bank’s Georgia Irish, the band’s performance at the 60’s street party will conclude a day-long festival in the historic sector of downtown Vero Beach.
The Hibiscus Festival, presented by the City of Vero Beach to benefit Main Street Vero Beach and Vero Heritage, Inc., will be held in historic downtown Vero Beach along 14th Avenue beginning at 9 a.m. and will feature a myriad of events until 5 p.m.
Bobby and The Blisters will perform in the intersection of 14th Avenue and 21st Street from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. as the “warm up” band to the Beatles tribute band. Beatles Remembered will play from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Downtown Friday block. Band breaks will feature a former Vero Beach resident, 17 year old, Austin McLaughlin. Austin, a singer/song writer of Country music, is currently living in Nashville, TN.
