Richard J. Connors, 83, died Feb. 2, 2010, at the Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Queens, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Bellmore, N.Y. Before retirement, he was a second level manager for ATT in New York.
He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and St. Barnabas in Bellmore.
He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Bellmore, Elks Lodge in Vero Beach and SHYC.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Maryellen Siegel of Vero Beach; son, Richard of Holtsville, N.Y.; daughters, Maureen Lucas of West Babylon, N.Y., and Terry DeAngelis of Milford; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice “Mickey” Connors; second wife, Elizabeth Hannon; and sister, Barbara Arnott.
