Vero Beach woman accused of soliciting sex, drugs at Pocahontas Park

VERO BEACH — A Vero Beach woman was arrested, accused of soliciting prostitution while at Pocahontas Park after 10 p.m. Friday.

The Vero Beach Police Department arrested Brooke Ann Sorensen, 35, of the 1400 block of 16th Street. She faces one charge of prostitution, according to the arrest report.

Police say Sorensen was in the area of Pocahontas Park asking passersby for drugs when an officer arrived on scene and sat on a bench in the area.

Sorensen then approached the unidentified officer and asked him if he knew “anyone who sells rock?” The officer said yes and then Sorensen asked him if he was looking for sex.

“How much?” he asked after saying yes, the arrest report states.

She responded with a price range for different services, according to the report, at which time the officer identified himself and arrested her.

Sorensen has since been released from the county jail on $500 bond.
