Exchange Club of Indian River welcomes Joan Barcus

VERO BEACH — Paul Pickel, Exchange Club of Indian River’s membership chair, welcomed Joan Barcus into membership on September 16 at the Club’s weekly lunch meeting at Culinary Capers. A resident of Vero Beach, she is the office manager of MBV Engineering, Inc.

Exchange Club of Indian River provides the community with programs in youth activities, service, and Americanism. Through participation in its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse, it supports a number of local youth-related charities. Club members are busy planning the upcoming 34th Annual Blue Water Open Charity Fishing Tournament “Dolphin Mania” to be held May 21. The Blue Water Open and other fundraisers sponsored by Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation support these club projects.

The Club meets for lunch at Culinary Capers each Wednesday at noon. Meetings feature programs on a wide range of business, government and civic, charity, personal, and professional topics.
