VERO BEACH — Indian River County Fire Rescue is investigating a four-engine fire at a trailer park Sunday morning on 12th Street in Vero Beach that left a 63-year-old man dead.
Indian River County Fire Rescue spokesman Brian Nolan said authorities have identified the man as Richard Froah who lived in the trailer that was engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived on the scene about 10:30 Sunday morning. He said investigators are considering the possibility of faulty wiring as a cause of the fire.
A cause of death has not been determined.
“We treat every fire as a potential crime scene,” Nolan said. “Right now we are in the process of eliminating if foul play was involved as a cause of death and we are waiting for the Medical Examiner to give us the cause of death.”
