Mattie Mae Beatty, 70, died Jan. 6, 2010, at her home.
She was born in Dover, Ga., and lived in Indian River County since 1963, coming from Delaware.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as church mother and an usher.
Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Allen of Vero Beach, Veronica Tory of Savannah, Ga., and Gwana Tory of Pooler, Ga.; brother, Orell Natson of Pembroke, Ga.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Curtis Beatty; brothers, Robert Natson and Archie Natson; and sisters, Betty Jean Crawford and Mary Natson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel and from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 16 at St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be at noon Jan. 16 at St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church, Vero Beach.
