Edwin J. “Eddie” Kouyoumjian, 89, died Dec. 23 at his home.
He was born in Dorchester County, Mass., and lived in Roseland for 45 years, coming from Buchanan, Va. He was a self-employed mechanic, specializing in truck repairs. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, Va.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy “Miss K” Kouyoumjian of Roseland; sons, Mark S. Kouyoumjian of Roseland, Kim R. Kouyoumjian of Melbourne and John Kouyoumjian of Lake Hopatcom, N.J.; daughters, Edwina L. Gates of Roseland and Crystal G. Mason of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 28 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, followed by military honors conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 29 at Strunk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Cannon of Grace Bible Church officiating.
