VERO BEACH – Artists and art enthusiasts flocked to Gallery 14 Thursday evening for their gala Let the Season Begin Reception, showcasing and introducing some of the newer works created by its talented artists. With its broad spectrum of art in varying styles and mediums, including oil, acrylic, water color, mixed media, collage, jewelry, photography and sculpture, the gallery attracts a wide audience.
Founded in 2007, the partnership of artists currently consists of Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Cathy Ferrell, Deborah Gooch, Mary Ann Hall, Dorothy Hudson, Virginia Knapp, Barbara Landry, Dawn E. Miller, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, Barbara Rowles, Dorothy Napp Schindel and Jan Taylor.
The group is committed to promoting the local arts community and hosts monthly salons to help area artists to network and discuss topics of mutual interest, holds juried art shows and regularly presents special guest artists. Gallery 14 and its 14 artists are located on 14th Avenue (hence the name), in the heart of the 3-D Downtown Dine and Design District and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. {igallery 78}
