INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Throughout Indian River County, people gathered to “break bread together for the homeless” at the 17th Annual Samaritan Center Soup Bowl. George E. Warren Corporation was the presenting sponsor for the event, which was co-chaired by Shotsi Lajoie and Kristin Ashcroft.
The number of participating restaurants and locations increases each year and with such wonderful soups there are generally few leftovers. There has also been an increase in the number of artists who have been working tirelessly to complete hundreds of hand crafted ceramic soup bowls for the event. Funds raised throughout the day benefit the Samaritan Center for Homeless Families. {igallery 77}
