Dr. Anthony Pierce Redmond, 78, died Nov. 2, 2009 in Vero Beach. He was born in London on April 3, 1931 and graduated from Guy’s Hospital Medical School, London in 1957. He came to America in 1959 and did his medical training in Boston, Rochester and New York City. He had his board certification in pediatrics and allergy & immunology. He became a pediatric allergist, started a practice in Greenwich, Conn., in 1967 and for 40 years served his community. He was president of the Connecticut State Medical Society and a Delegate for the American Medical Association. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Susanne Mary Redmond of Vero Beach and Greenwich; daughter, Emma Redmond Eschricht of Old Greenwich, Conn.; son, Jonathan Pierce Redmond of New York, and daughter, Victoria Redmond Williams of Greenwich and his six grandchildren: Claire, Jack, Trip, Collin, Peyton and Pierce.There will be a mass at St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at 10 a.m..
