VERO BEACH – The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB & IRC) will host its first Tricks, Treats & Tails Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The family friendly and canine friendly event will feature activities for kids including tractor-pulled hayrides, a bounce house and dunk tank, face painting, Tots ‘n Tails photos and treasure hunts. Family dogs will have the chance to win prizes for the Best Critter Costume, Best Howler, and Best Pooch and Pal Costume, as well as play games such as Bobbing for Bones. Curious canines can even have their paws read by a mystical fortune teller to determine if treats are in their future.
The shelter’s Tricks, Treats and Tails Howl-O-Ween event will be held at the Humane Society, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach. The event is open to the public and free of charge, but the shelter is asking guests to bring a donation of canned or dried pet food to supplement the Humane Society Pet Food Bank.
The food bank provides pet food to families struggling to feed their animals. The HSVB & IRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the animals of Indian River County.
