VERO BEACH — This summer Frosting, a new bakery on Cardinal Drive in Vero Beach, specializing in cupcakes and other sweet confections, began donating the profits from the sale of See’s Famous Old Time Candies to Plumbago Volunteer Services. See’s candy, well known and sold nation-wide, has been around since 1921. Frosting will continue to donate all profits from the sale of See’s candy to benefit Plumbago Volunteer Services, a nonprofit organization founded to meet the volunteer needs of the community. “We are thrilled that Frosting is helping support our cause and increasing public awareness of the value, benefits, and need of volunteers,” said Darlene Forage, executive director of PVS. “Every person living in our community can do their part to promote and support volunteerism. We love to see local companies, like Frosting, find ways to support their communities and we are just so happy to be a part of their community.”
Plumbago Volunteer Services is Indian River County’s Volunteer Center, focusing on promoting volunteerism and matching volunteers to worthy causes.
