Update: The unofficial votes are in for the Tuesday municipal elections for Vero Beach, Sebastian and Fellsmere. Voters made their pick on council members for Vero Beach and Sebastian. Residents also made their choices on charter amendments and referendums for Vero Beach, Sebastian and Fellsmere. All precincts were completely reported and all election day and vote-by-mail ballots were all in just before 8 p.m., according to the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections website. There were 30, 393 registered voters in Indian River County for this year's municipal election. Residents cast 7, 626 ballots and voter turnout was at 25.09 percent. Here are the unofficial results. Results – Indian River Democrats choose Joe Biden

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Democrats voting for their Presidential choice on Tuesday selected former Vice President Joe Biden over Senator Bernie Sanders by a nearly 4 to 1 margin. With 35 out of 35 precincts reporting, Biden received 9,017 votes or 66.4 percent, while 2,307 or 17 percent voted for Sanders. Of the candidates no longer in the race, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg did the best, garnering 1,339 votes or 9.8 percent. Republicans came out to show their support for re-electing President Donald Trump, with 14,588 people or 93.7 percent of them voting for him in the primary. New Vero councilman questions validity of election certification and mayor

VERO BEACH — Newly elected Councilman Joe Graves is already making waves on the Vero Beach City Council, challenging the validity of the city’s certification of election results and the appointment of mayor and vice mayor. Graves, a well-known local lawyer, on his first day on the dais as a council member on Tuesday clashed with City Attorney John Turner over the legality of the city’s canvassing board’s certification of election results after the board adjourned Monday before it took its formal vote — a move Graves questioned as legal.
