VERO BEACH — The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County will host the 6th annual Walk to Remember charity fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 14. The scenic 5K walk takes place along the water in Riverside Park. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by the walk, which will start promptly at 8:30 a.m.
All proceeds and donations help the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County to assist families struggling with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other related neurodegenerative diseases. Participants are encouraged to form teams, but you are also invited to walk as an individual, or to make a donation in support of the organization and the families it helps. Participants will also enjoy food, beverages, and warm-up exercises provided by our generous sponsors.
The members of the steering committee under event chair Sandi Larson are Tatum Bacchi, Nancy Birt, Dyan Chester and Mary Orticelli. The George E Warren Corporation is the presenting sponsor of the Walk to Remember and the Indian River Press Journal as the print media sponsor.
The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County, Inc. is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote the highest quality of life for caregivers, families and those affected by Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and related neurological diseases.
