HURRICANE: Erika falls apart over the Atlantic

By Nathan McCollumn

Late Thursday night, the broad low pressure center of Erika fell apart and the system is just a convection area. The satellite pictures this morning do not indicate any low pressure center.  However, the convection area looks more impressive today than it has over the last 48 hours.  We will watch for any redevelopment of this system, but wind shear will likely prohibit and further strengthening. This is the last update on Erika.
