SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian City Council voted Wednesday to allow the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce to use the City Council chambers and the City’s broadcast system to host and televise two candidate forums on Oct. 19 and Oct. 29 in preparation for the Nov. 3 election.
This project would be in conjunction with the Sebastian Property Owners Association and would provide live broadcasts of the forums for Comcast customers who live in the North County. The SPOA would take the lead at the Oct. 19 forum and the Chamber at the one on Oct. 29.
City Clerk Sally Maio announced Wednesday that qualifying for the open City Council seats begins Aug. 20.
