Charles Ervin Cox, 82, of Sebastian, died July 20, 2009, at his home. He was born in South Lineville, Mo., and lived in Sebastian, coming from Des Moines, Iowa.
He was an accountant and building contractor for various residential and commercial construction companies. He served in the Army during World War II. He attended Drake University. He was a member of genealogical groups. Survivors include his daughters, Jeri Rice, of Round Rock, Texas, Karen Lombard, of Jasper, Ala., and Lori Sanchez, of Vero Beach; sister, Carmelita Abrams, of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 237 E. Marks St., Orlando, FL 32803-3818.
Services and burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.
