Carole Quesnel, 74, Vero Beach

Carole Quesnel, 74, of Vero Beach, died Aug. 8, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach after a brief illness. Mrs. Quesnel was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Port Arthur, Texas, and moved to Vero Beach 37 years ago from Middlebury, Vt.

Prior to retirement, she worked for the Indian River County School Board for 30 years. She was a member of Saint Helen Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters, Valerie Harvey and Sharon Quesnel, both of Vero Beach; son, Michael Quesnel, of Ocala; mother, Thelma McArthur, of Coco Beach; sisters, Catherine James, of Jasper, Ga., and Phillis Armistead, of Pell City, Ala.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Quesnel.

A Prayer service will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13, at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
