By Lisa ZahnerVERO BEACH — Denise Loren Holland, 48, of Vero Beach is serving a 60-day jail sentence for misdemeanor petit theft second degree and misdemeanor disorderly intoxication for walking into Walgreen’s at 1705 U.S. Highway 1 naked at about 2 a.m. on June 25 and then walking out wearing a $37 dress that she did not pay for. She was sentened on July 21 by Judge David Morgan and currently has 26 days left in her sentence. According to the the Vero Beach Police Department arrest report, Holland entered the store wearing only socks and said she did not remember whether or not she had clothes on when she left the house. The arresting officers gave her the opportunity to get money from home to pay for the dress and when that was not possible, she was arrested. Holland also admitted to drinking a pint of vodka before making her way to the 24-hour drug store.Holland has prior arrests for disorderly intoxication in October 2006 and August 2008.
