Margaret L. Brown, 81, died July 27, 2009, in Delphos, Ohio. She was born in Ada, Okla., and spent time in Vero Beach.
She retired from the Delphos Post Office after almost 20 years of service, where she was the first female employee. She volunteered with the White Buffalo Shawl Society, a Native American organization in Florida. She was a past member of the Blue Star Mothers Club and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Star Class. Survivors include her sons, Larry Brown, of Delphos, and Jeffery Brown, of Richburg, S.C.; daughters, Marilyn Goodenough, of Elida, Ohio, and Roijean Maas, of Vero Beach; and sister, Doris Russell, of Edmund, Okla.
She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Brown; sons, an infant and George William; daughter, Janet Illig; sisters, Bernice Carson, Lois Mattioli and Robbie Aliff; and brothers, Ed, Olan, Howard, and Perry Pratt.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. July 29 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos and one hour prior to service. A service will be at 11 a.m. July 30 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Delphos, preceded by a 10 a.m. visitation. Private burial will be at a later date.
