Elwood L. “Woody” Brill, 80, of Vero Beach, died peacefully on Sunday, July 26 at Indian River Medical Center. Mr. Brill was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pa. He lived in many places over the years, enjoying his life in Vero Beach during the past nine years.
Mr. Brill was a member of the Masons since 1955 and a Shriner since 1977. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II in the China, Burma and India theaters. Survivors include his sons, William G. (Susan) Brill, of Palatine, Ill., and Barry L. (Pam) Brill, of Stratford, N.J.; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mr. Brill’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 29, at 9 a.m. at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery.
