VERO BEACH/GIFFORD — Here’s your chance to help 150 Youth Guidance kids celebrate their academic achievements at a Good Grades Pool Party on Saturday, July 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gifford Aquatics Center, 4895 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach. Youth Guidance needs 150 fun-loving adult volunteers 17 and up to help the children celebrate this special occasion. Children and adults matched one-on-one for this event will enjoy music, games, food, prizes, and swimming. Their families will provide transportation for the children to and from the pool. Mentees and their mentors will also attend.
Another Youth Guidance goal is to send each child in the program to at least one week of summer camp. Each week of camp costs $75; it is not too late to sponsor one or more weeks of camp for a child. Donations of any amount are welcome now and throughout the year to support camp and other Youth Guidance programs, including cultural, educational and recreational opportunities, tutoring services, and college scholarships.
