Wilbert “Tyrone” Brooks, 66, of Vero Beach, died July 15, 2009, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. He was born in Pine Mountain, Ga., and lived in Vero Beach since 1980, coming from West Palm Beach. He worked as a lot manager at Janie Dean and Roger Dean Chevrolet for 32 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Vero Beach. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cindy; daughters, Tiffany Brooks, of Clewiston, and Stephanie Brooks, of Vero Beach; son, Steven Brooks, of Honolulu; brothers, Terry Brooks and Douglas Brooks, both of West Palm Beach, Everett Brooks, of Atlanta, Alfred Brooks, of California, and Michael Brooks, of Covington, Ga.; sister, Patricia Brooks, of Lake Charles, La.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip, Grady and John Cullin Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
