19 Exchange club members attend district training

VERO BEACH — Erin Grall and Diana L. Walker conducted a three-hour training session for 2009-2010 officers and directors of the Exchange Clubs of Indian River and Brevard counties at the Vero Beach Municipal Airport on Saturday, June 13.

Eric Menger, president of the statewide Florida District Exchange Clubs, welcomed the 19 representatives attending from the Exchange Clubs of Indian River, Sebastian, South Brevard, Treasure Coast, and Vero Beach.Erin Grall and Diana Walker are Florida’s Directors of District 2 and District 7, respectively. Walker is also the secretary of Florida District Exchange Clubs, which represents the 30 clubs and more than 1,000 Exchange Club members in the state.

Other local Exchangites with statewide responsibilities include Judy Landgrave, Vice President for Americanism, and Sharon Wilson, editor of the District newsletter.

The Florida District Exchange Clubs are part of National Exchange Club, an all-volunteer, national service organization made up of nearly 800 clubs and more than 24,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

Known as America’s Service Club, Exchange Clubs all over the country work together to make their communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and their national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
