Fellsmere City Hall

Fellsmere was founded in 1911, and is located only four miles off  of Interstate 95 on County Road 512. It was named for E. Nelson Fell, a 1913 land sales brochure describes the city’s unusual name as a combination of the founder’s name Fell and the word mere, which means “a watery place.”

Fellsmere hosts the famous Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival, held the third week in January. Other celebrations include Fellsmere Day, which is held the first Saturday in April with a parade, a bed race and a variety of family-orientated activities.

The city council consists of five members, including Mayor Susan Adams, Vice Mayor Joel Tyson, Mayor Pro Tem Fernando Herrera, Councilmember Daniel Naranjo, and Councilmember Sara Savage. The city manager is Jason Nunemaker.

City Hall is located at 21 S. Cypress Street, Fellsmere, 32948. Info: (772) 571-1616 or visit www.CityOfFellsmere.org.
