County Military Officers Association of America invites officers

VERO BEACH — The Indian River Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is a nonprofit veterans’ association dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense and to preserving the earned entitlements of members of the uniformed armed services, their families and survivors.

Membership is open to those who hold or have held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses.The chapter meets the third Wednesday of each month (except in August) for either lunch or dinner at various local restaurants.The Florida 36 Chapter’s projects, programs and groups include:

Ladies’ Club

Book Club

Bridge Group

Needlers’ group

Scholarships to Junior ROTC members graduating from Sebastian River High School and Vero Beach High School

Contributions to various veterans’ service groups and facilities
