Anthony H. Cerritelli, 95, of Vero Beach, died June 20, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Derby, Conn., and moved to Vero Beach in 1974 from Bridgeport, Conn.
Before retirement, he was the owner/operator of Cerritelli’s Service Station in Bridgeport. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Vero Beach Widows and Widowers Group.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; sons, Kenneth Cerritelli, of Huntington, Conn., and Anthony Cerritelli, of Shelton, Conn.; daughter, Joan Johnson-Weeks, of Vero Beach; seven stepchildren; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and eight great step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma; his second wife, Ella; brothers, John, Dominic, Louis, Alan, Victor, Joseph, Frank and Nicholas Cerritelli; and sisters, Mary Salvio, Flora Cavallero, Ann O’Neill and Elizabeth Sheehan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. July 1 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. A reception will precede the Mass in the entry hallway at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements are by the Neptune Society of Orlando.
