Treasure Coast Gator Club celebrates Gator Football

VERO BEACH -- The Treasure Coast Gator Club invites UF alumni and fans to celebrate throughout the 2010-2011 football season.  The Treasure Coast Gator Club, which covers Indian River and St. Lucie Counties, will host their season Kick-Off Party on September 11 in conjunction with the University of Florida v/s University of South Florida game.

The Kick-Off in Vero Beach will be held at Riverside Café.  In St. Lucie County it will be held at Cobb’s Landing in Fort Pierce. Both venues will have food and drink specials, along with raffles and various prizes.

St. Ed's Pirates lose to Trinity Prep 14-3

VERO BEACH -- St. Edward's preseason classic loss to Trinity Prep of Winter Park by a score of 14-3 could easily have gone the other way if not for a few key breakdowns - and an offense that struggled for most of the game after the first quarter.

The crowd at Pirate Stadium watched the home team take the opening possession from their own 28 down to the Saints 16 yard line before stalling and settling for a 32 yard Dillon Benson field goal.
