State Fire Marshals on scene investigating fire at Vero Beach airport

VERO BEACH -- Florida Fire Marshal's Office investigators are at the Vero Beach Municipal Airport looking into a fire that broke out in a hangar over the weekend.

Lt. Tony Stafford said Tuesday afternoon that the detective assigned to the case had returned to the airport this morning to continue his investigation prior to clearing the scene.

Proposed new fees at Leisure Square get hearing today

VERO BEACH – The Vero Beach City Council is expected today to address a new way of collecting fees at the Leisure Square Recreation Complex.

The council will hold a public hearing before voting on whether or not to accept those changes. The hearing will be held at the council meeting, which begins at 3 p.m. in City Hall.
