Miss Vero is surprised that not more has been said in the local media regarding the newest boutique hotel on the beach, The Surf Club. The old Vero Inn has been remodeled and updated in refreshing beach chic. A unique spot, that reminds us pleasantly, of old Florida. We can just picture folks in their best pink and lime green outfits, on a lazy Sunday afternoon lolling about, enjoying cocktails and conversation. |

Well hard to believe hunnies, but little ole Miss Vero has been hangin’ around the cyberspace cocktail party for almost two years now. Y’all may have noticed that our blog, missverosbeachhouse.com, has some changes and additions in the form of youtube videos, facebook badges, myspace updates and a whole bunch of other such stuff and not too much actual bloggin’.

Oh hunnies! Has it really been this long since Miss Vero visited with y'all? A whole, entire month since we posted at VeroNews.com? What in tarnation has our gin soaked brain been up to? Well, y'all might say we've been in hibernation mode or y'all might say we've been in hyper-nation mode depending on how y'all look at these things.
Yes, Miss Vero has been out and about around town but we've also been busy on a top secret project out of town - a little sumthin we like to call "refillin' the coffers" if y'all know what we mean...

Well Hunnies, Miss Vero has only been gone for one week and what do we find upon our return? That the City of Vero Beach is playin’ playground politics. Now, we did have our suspicions that Mr. Wilson would be removed from office after Dian George filed againse him, no surprise really. Judge Kanarek and Mr. Wilson have some history between them. When Mr. Kanarek was an attorney he represented Mr. Wilson's ex-wife and if our memory serves us, we believe they went to high school together. Mr. Wilson's lawyer, ole Charlie Sullivan and Miss George's attorney, Mr. Buck Vocelle, have been bubbas for years and we believe own an airplane together or so we heard. Fair trial indeed. The Indian River Court system practically boarders on incestuous. But what have we always said? Don't ever do nothin' to get in trouble in this county, just don't even look sideways kids, just don't. |

 It's beginning to look a lot like...KEVIN SAWNICK IS THE MAYOR! Well, if Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive in town and say it's so, then it should be official, shouldn't it?
Miss Vero sincerely hopes that the holiday season will bring about the best in folks and that the only ones who act childish are actually children and not our elected officials.
