Talk and Tea presentation by Aksel Sand Pedersen

On Sunday, January 14, The Galleries at First Pres held an opening reception for its First Anniversary Art Show featuring local artists Aksel Sand Pedersen, Robert and Suzanne Berran, and Sheila Lougheed. A private collection of Zimbabwean Shona sculptures owned by Arthur and Jean Budden is also featured in Eleanor T. Smith Lounge.

The Galleries at First Pres are located throughout the campus of First Presbyterian Church, 520 Royal Palm Boulevard, Vero Beach. They are open for viewing daily from Noon to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Gallery tours are available on Wednesdays between 3-5 p.m. Admission is free.

As a follow-up to the opening reception, Aksel Sand Pedersen will be giving an in-depth presentation of his modern art interpretation of the Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. in Mighell Chapel, followed by a “meet the artist” tea reception in Eleanor T. Smith Lounge.
