Superheroes assemble for a free concert Nov. 2 & 3

November 2, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Your favorite superheroes will be in attendance when the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents, “Musicians are Superheroes,” a free concert event of epic proportions at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

The program will feature a short, original screenplay by national best-selling author, Michele Wallace Campanelli, animated by Twelve Atlas Pictures. In it, Conductor Aaron Collins and the orchestra battle evil and bring the incredible power of music to the world, proving “Musicians are Superheroes.”

The concert will feature music from Superman, The Incredibles, Spiderman, Batman, How to Train Your Dragon, The Avengers, Pirates of the Caribbean, Madagascar, and more, some with movie clips on screen.

Costumed superheroes will be in the lobby and roaming throughout the concert hall, adding to the fun. Youngsters are encouraged to dress in their own superheroes costumes and take part in various pre-concert activities.

Free tickets can be reserved by calling 855-252-7276.

Conductor and Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins, thinks the free concert event, “Musicians are Superheroes,” is going to be one of the most fun ever presented by the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.

“We work hard to bring quality, affordable music to the community, but I have to say it’s pretty awesome to be compared to a superhero,” laughed Collins. “Seriously though, this concert is at the core of everything we believe in: engaging people of all ages and demonstrating the power of music to bring us together. And it’s going to be a super lot of fun.”

The performances will be held as follows:

  • Nov. 2 – 2 p.m. – The Scott Center for Performing Arts, 5625 Holy Trinity Dr., Melbourne
  • Nov. 2 – 4:30 p.m. – The Scott Center for Performing Arts, 5625 Holy Trinity Dr., Melbourne
  • Nov. 3 – 3 p.m. – Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th St., Vero Beach
