61st Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest

The 61st Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest, presented by the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department, is honored in this Centennial year, to be the prelude to the Centennial Parade on Saturday, October 26 along 14th Avenue in downtown Vero Beach.

The line-up for the Halloween Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Vero Beach Freshman Learning Center, 1507 19th Street, and the costume contest will be held just prior to the start of the parade at 10:00 a.m.

The Halloween Parade will end at the Vero Beach Community Center, located 2266 14th Avenue, while the Centennial Parade will continue to just north of the Old Vero Beach Railroad Station. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, however, the free goody bag and contest are for children age 17 and under Twenty five prizes for the best costumes will be awarded at the Community Center while all the participants have an opportunity to view the Centennial Parade as it passes by.

If you are interested in entering a float or a walking group in the parade there is no application fee but to enter please call the City Clerk’s office 978-4600 or Riverside Racquet Complex for a parade application http://www.covb.org No political advertisements are allowed and sponsorships are possible by calling for more information: Gaby Dwyer at (772)-231-4787.
