GIFFORD — The holiday season may have gotten more joyful for one Florida Lottery patron who recently purchased a winning ticket worth more than $150,000. The Shell Food Mart, located inside the Shell gas station at 53rd Street and U.S. 1, Gifford, sold the winning Fantasy 5 ticket for Saturday's drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers for the evening draw were 06-22-27-29-36. The winner will receive the grand prize of $150,908, lottery officials said. It was unclear if the winner had already claimed the prize.

Winning lottery ticket sold at Publix in south county

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A winning Florida Lottery ticket worth more than $40,000 was recently sold at a Publix supermarket in south county, officials said. The Fantasy 5 ticket won during Tuesday's evening draw. The ticket's winning numbers were 01-06-10-17-26, according to lottery officials. The ticket was sold at Publix Super Market at South Point, located off 43rd Avenue Southwest, just south of Oslo Road. The grand prize was $40,449.93, lottery officials said. It was unclear if the winner had already claimed their prize.

It was a match made in heaven as one Indian River County man's $20 scratch-off ticket turned into a $1 million prize, Florida Lottery officials said. The 60-year-old Vero Beach man played the Monopoly Doubler Scratch-Off game, where the overall odds of winning are one-in-3.02. The chances of winning one million, however, are one-in-2,093,055. "(The man) chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $798,985.00," Florida Lottery officials said.  Players who match their numbers with winning numbers are given monetary prizes, according to the game rules. The man bought the ticket from Sam's Market and Deli grocery store in Fort Pierce. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket, lottery officials ...
