Stay safe before, during, and after a storm

As I’m sure you know by now, Ian is heading toward us as a major storm. While the exact trajectory is yet to be determined, we do know what we can do to stay prepared. United Way’s Hurricane Resource Center is your one-stop page with links to local emergency contacts, shelters, and state and national assistance.

United Way of Indian River is the County’s official volunteer and donations arm. We are here for our community before, during, and after an emergency. The United Way Hurricane Resource Center offers helpful information to create a preparedness plan, as well as what to do during and after a hurricane.

When our community faces disaster, United Way plays a key role. From ensuring our first responders can act swiftly, to leading long-term recovery, we have the experience, networks, and capacity to address even the most devastating events.
