As a child born at the start of World War II, her family moved to Paris, France for a safe haven from the German invasion.  Sadly, France fell shortly after and the family was in danger. Her parents were not as fortunate and were taken to the German Nazi’s concentration camp in Auschwitz where her father perished and her mother survived.  By the grace of God, Regine, a seven year old child and her brother David were reunited with their mother Fajga a year after the German Nazi surrender.

Regine and Patrick Sullivan met in 1981 and married in 1985.  Patrick would love to tell you the story of their meeting on the Circle Line boat in New York harbor and it’s a lengthy and delightful story.  They retired to Vero Beach, FL in 2010 and made many friends as members of the Grand Harbor Club & Community.

Regine excelled at dancing, baking (especially quiche) and making friends.

Regine and Patrick loved dining at Vero Beach’s restaurants but especially at the Tides, where they had a standing twice a month reservations, and at Vero’s coffee shops.

She is survived by her husband Patrick; her brother David Sztroch of Paris and nieces and nephews in France and Israel.
