Updated townhome comes with dock and new boat lift

The owners of 4800 Bethel Creek Dr. #6S in Bethel Isle are self-proclaimed thinkers inclined to take a while to make up their minds about a home purchase. That was until they discovered the townhouse tucked away in Bethel Isle. They knew it was just what they were looking and didn’t waste any time making it their family getaway.

“We wanted a less touristy place near the water that we could enjoy with our family. We fell in love with it right away. It immediately felt like home,” shares one of the owners, recalling their hunt for something on the water.

“Vero is amazing. It’s relaxed and laid back. Very unpretentious. It’s addictive. It pulls you right in. It’s a different lifestyle,” she continues. “I wanted access to restaurants and the beach, and my husband wanted the river for our boat. It’s the best compromise.”

The eight-unit, self-managed condominium has a friendly atmosphere, says Alex MacWilliam listing agent Kit Fields, noting the intimate setting.

Each unit of the well-kept condominium complex has two covered parking spaces steps from the front door, providing protection on stormy days.

The unit has expansive outdoor living areas on both the east and west sides. The living room spans the rear of the unit, opening onto the covered lanai. Motorized shades throughout the house make it easy to adjust the light in the house as the sun makes its way across the sky.

“It lives like a little house,” says Fields, who is offering the townhome for $995,000, co-listing with AMAC agent John Pierce. “The property is amazing because you have all the living space upstairs.”

Stairs at the center of the multi-level unit lead to the bedrooms. The owner’s suite, laundry area and a second en-suite bedroom are located on the second level. At the rear, the generous owner’s suite overlooks the backyard with views of the canal from the Juliet balcony – a lovely spot to watch the sunrise in the mornings.

A sliding barn door separates the sleeping area and the updated bathroom with a shower, walk-in closet and dual sinks.

The walkability of the unit is a big draw, says Fields.

“This is an amazing little spot,” says the owner. “It’s magical. It’s a five-minute walk to the sand.” She added that they can walk to dinner at Vinz just around the corner or stop by the Village Beach Market if they want to cook at home.

The only problem, she adds, is that once friends and family visit, they don’t want to leave, so much so that her in-laws bought a place after visiting Vero.

“This property is ideal for someone who loves to boat, loves the water and wants to have access to their boat right off their back steps,” says Fields.

Everything you need is within walking distance to the Bethel Isle neighborhood. You can stop by the Village Beach Market to pick up supplies for dinner or a picnic at the beach before you cross A1A and head down to the beach for a day of splashing in the ocean. Additional shopping, fine dining, resorts and cultural activities are a few minutes’ drive in either direction from the subdivision.
