21st Amendment Distillery finds official home in Historic Downtown

21st Amendment Distillery has found its official home in Historic Downtown Vero Beach.

The 5,000± sq ft space at 2055 13th Ave, directly across from the downtown post office, was, in recent years, utilized as warehouse and is undergoing extensive renovations to house the new distillery. The 21AD master plan includes a full bar, private tasting room, outdoor seating including smoking and non-smoking areas and a large cigar humidor as well as the featured equipment of any distillery: the stills, where whiskey and other spirits will be heated, condensed and collected to craft it into the finished product guests will enjoy.

“We’re thrilled to have a home,” said Jeff Palleschi, owner and founder of 21st Amendment Distillery. “It was a challenge to find a place that was big enough to hold all of our equipment – we looked all over town, and thankfully, this space came open at just the right time. The downtown location is better than we ever hoped for.”

Founded with the intention to celebrate quality hand-crafted spirits and American perseverance, the distillery will specialize in craft whiskey. It will also produce bourbon, vodka, gin, rum, agave (tequila), and a citrus-themed cello series using local citrus. In addition to selling and distributing spirits, Palleschi’s team will offer tours providing a first-hand look at the distillation process.

This is not the first time the new 21AD building will bring the first business of its kind to Vero Beach – the building was home to the city’s first grocery store in the 1940s. What was once a walk-in cooler will become the private tasting room at 21st Amendment Distillery.

21st Amendment Distillery is set to open in late 2022.
