Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast! These amazing artists will be the featured for the month of January at the Main Street Vero Beach Gallery located at 2036 14th Ave in the Historic Downtown Arts District! I hope you can join us for the artist’s reception during the First Friday ArtWalk on January 7th, 2022. The gallery is located in the Plaza Theatre Building, one-half block north of the Post & Vine.
Show Coordinator Susan Miiller’s paintings are infused with the energy of the oceans, rivers, estuaries, lagoons, mangrove swamps, wildlife, aquatic life, birds and beaches of Florida. “I want to instill in the viewer, an appreciation of the natural world. I invite the viewer on a journey that combines real places with their imagination and memories.” Susan received an M.F.A. in drawing and painting from the University of North Texas, 1992 and a B.F.A in painting from SUNY New Paltz, 1988. Lori McNamara was born in Ft. Pierce and still lives in her old home on Indian River Drive. She loves to paint the natural beauty of Florida and going to all the wonderful parks and beaches of Ft. Pierce. She is the leader of Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast and organizes their paint outs. They paint at local places of interest in and around Ft. Pierce. Diane Mesagno was born and raised in New York and graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a degree in architecture. Before starting her career in architecture, she studied sculpture in Austria. Since moving to Florida she devotes her time and energy to fine art painting in acrylics. Her recent work depicts the Florida landscapes and seascapes painted plein air.
Judi LeBlanc is a British artist who studied fine art at Wimbledon College of Art, London, UK. She arrived on the Treasure Coast just last year and quickly found the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast. Judi states: “I arrived in Florida just as Covid hit and fell in love with the Treasure Coast. The friendliness of people and the stunning landscape are a constant source of inspiration.
