Fellsmere police search for man missing more than a month

FELLSMERE — Officers are searching for a 34-year-old man they said has been missing for more than a month from Fellsmere.

Fellsmere police said Marty Ray Crawford Jr. was last seen about 9 a.m. Sept. 19 at the intersection of South Oak Street and County Road 512, west of Interstate 95. Officers said Crawford was reported missing to police on Tuesday.

Crawford’s information was entered into the National Crime Information Center and Florida Crime Information Center also on Tuesday.

Crawford was described as 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Police said Crawford was last seen wearing tan-colored cargo style shorts, white-colored “Nike” brand slides with a black-colored “swoosh” and a dark-colored T-shirt.

Man charged in stabbing woman, requiring surgery

VERO BEACH — A 34-year-old man was jailed after a beating and stabbing that left a woman with severe injuries requiring surgery earlier this week, officers said. Police reviewed surveillance footage and described the incident as a vicious, unprovoked attack. "After speaking with medical staff, it was reported that (the victim) received treatment for four lacerations to the lower intestines, two lacerations to the colon and the removal of her spleen," Vero Beach police said in a report. Sebastian police volunteer charged after detectives find child porn images on flash drive

SEBASTIAN — Sheriff's detectives arrested a Sebastian police volunteer after they searched his home and found dozens of images depicting child pornography on a flash drive he owned, officials said.
