3 SRHS students hurt in two-vehicle crash; C.R. 510 reopens

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Three Sebastian River High School students were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that blocked westbound County Road 510 Wednesday, sheriff’s officials said.

The wreck happened about 3 p.m. on westbound C.R. 510 near 66th Avenue, officials said. Sheriff’s officials said five Sebastian River High School students were involved in the crash, three of which were hurt.

The students were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, sheriff’s officials said. The name of the hospital was not immediately available.

The disabled vehicles caused heavy traffic congestion in the area of the crash. It was unclear when the roadway was expected to reopen.
