Keith “Wayne” Adkins, 76, Vero Beach

Keith “Wayne” Adkins, age 76, of Vero Beach, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021.
He was born January 11, 1945, in Charleston, West Virginia to parents, James Luther and Beulah Huffman Adkins.
Keith had attended West Virginia University until serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He moved to Vero Beach 50 years ago, coming from Melbourne, FL.
Keith retired after working 20 years with Goodknight Lawn Equipment, Vero Beach, currently known as Jordan Mowers.
He was Past President of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vero Beach, and a member of Vero Beach Moose Lodge and Vero Beach Veterans.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kaye Adkins; daughters, Cassie (Jeff) Schlitt of Vero Beach and Korina Adkins of Phoenix, AZ; and three grandchildren, Parker, Delaney, and Mason Schlitt.
Keith was predeceased by his siblings, Denver, Jimmy, Nina, Faye, Marjorie, and Charlene.

Richard Michael Raber, 76, Sebastian

Mr. Richard Michael Raber, 76, died July 11, 2021 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Florida.
He was born in Cortland, New York and lived in Sebastian, Florida since 2004.
Richard worked many years as an accountant for Wilson Sporting Goods.
Richard will be loved and missed by his wife of 54 years, Sharon A. Raber of Sebastian, FL; son, Michael J. Raber and his wife, Tricia of Fort Myers, Florida; daughter, Nicole Raber Temple and her husband, Bob of Cortland, New York; 4 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Florence Raber.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284 or American Cancer Society, 3375 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in loving memory of Richard Michael Raber.
At the request of the family services were held privately at Sebastian Cemetery.

John L Papageorge, 86 of Vero Beach passed away on July 21, 2021 at Kindred Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary and his son, Lee.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27th from 9:30 until 11:30 AM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Mass and lunch will follow at 1:00 PM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 2525 S 25th St, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Interment with Military Honors will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, July 28th at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, Mims, FL 32754.

Walter Henry Ehlen, 100, Barefoot Bay
February 01, 1921 – July 21, 2021
Walter was born on Feb 1, 1921 in Lindenhurst, NY to Charles and Sadie Ehlen and passed July 21, 2021. He enlisted in the US Navy during WWII and served honorably in the naval aviation department. Walter married Margie (Wilant) in 1944 and moved to Uniondale NY after his discharge. He worked with Grumman Industries for a short while until he received a career position with New York Telephone and worked there until his retirement in 1985. It was then that he and his wife moved to Barefoot Bay, Florida and made their new home. Both were active and highly respected in the community. Walter was always known as a true gentleman and an outstanding representative of his generation. He was a proud member of the Space Coast Honor Flight.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Margie. They were true sole mates and were happily married to for 64 years, until her passing in 2008.
He is survived by his niece, Bev (Bob) and nephews Keith (Debbie) and Ken (Won). His extended family includes grandniece Penny (Angel) and grandnephew Bryon (Holly). He was a loving uncle to his three great grandnephew and nieces.
Walter and Margie will be placed to rest at the Cape Canaveral Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Military Honors.
