Willodean “Willa” Cox, 78, Melbourne

October 16, 1942 – July 19, 2021

Willodean “Willa” Cox, 78, of Melbourne, passed away July 19, 2021.  She was  born and raised in Evergreen, AL.  She met the love of her life, Glenn Ronald Cox in Evergreen, and they were married in May of 1961.  He was a disc jockey, and he brought her to Clovis, NM for a new life.  They moved to Texas, and then eventually to Florida 1970, where they have resided ever since.

She was a homemaker, and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of First Christian Church of Melbourne, where she served as a deacon and elder for many years, and was in the handbell choir.  She was a member of the Melbourne Women’s Club for many years.  She had been an avid bowler, winning many awards.  She worked part-time as an office associate and a sales associate in Beall’s for many years, spending more than she made.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Glenn Ronald Cox; son, Chris Cox (Susan); daughter, Kelly Pfeil (Steve); grandson, Zach Pfeil; granddaughters, Megan Davis (Will) and Kathleen Chodur (Sam); sister, Josephine Thompson; and brother in law Scott  Cox (Joann) and many nieces and nephews,

Memorial service:  11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at First Christian Church of Melbourne.

Interment will take place in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.

Arnold L. Martin, 78, Sebastian

May 01, 1943 – July 16, 2021

Arnold L. Martin, 78, of Sebastian, FL. passed away on July 16, 2021.

There will be a visitation on Monday, July 26 at the Seawinds Funeral Home chapel starting at 9:30am, followed by a graveside service at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida at 1:00pm.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Martin. He is also survived by his children, Marc (Vickie) Martin, Dawn (Alan) Cole, six grandchildren, Brandon (Elizabeth) Martin, Cory Martin, Veronica (Kris) Sydnor, Taylor (Tony) Ballard, Tori Gray and Tristan Gray; 1 great grandchild, Kira Ballard.

He is also survived by his brother, David (Wanda) Martin and sisters, Sheila Petit and Debbie Shelley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles Martin and Kenneth Martin.

Mr. Martin will be honored for his 20 years of service in the Navy with full military honors.
