Deputies arrested Erin Anne Zinck, of the 1200 block of 24th Street, Vero Beach, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Zinck was held Monday at the Indian River County Jail without bond.

Indian River County deputies responded to a disturbance about 3:30 p.m. May 8 at Zinck’s neighbor’s home. The man said he and Zinck have been neighbors for at least five years.

The man said he was fixing a pipe under his mobile home when Zinck came over carrying two 5-foot long pieces of wood. Zinck then told the man, “I’ll cut your head off” while she pulled up the bottom of her shirt, showing a kitchen knife near her abdomen, reports show.

The man said Zinck tried to hit him with the wooden sticks, but missed. Zinck was about 9 feet away from the man during the incident, reports show.

The man ran away and called 911, reports show. It was unclear what prompted the altercation.

A witness told deputies he saw Zinck throw a large radio at the man, but missed. The witness reported seeing the knife in Zinck’s waistband, but did not see Zinck carrying the weapon in her hands, reports show.

Zinck denied the accusations against her.

Deputies arrested Zinck and booked her into the county jail. Zinck was ordered to not have any contact with her neighbor, court records show.

Zinck has an arraignment at 8:45 a.m. June 18, court records show.
