The History & Hauntings of Vero Beach Dinner-Presentation-Walking Tour

February 28th, 2021

Join Main Street Vero Beach and Larry Lawson of Indian River Hauntings for The History and Hauntings of Vero Beach.  This will be a small group gathering for dinner, a presentation and a walking tour on Saturday March 20th.  The event at The Vero Beach Woman’s Club begins at 5:30pm with Appetizers and Beverages.  Larry Lawson will share his paranormal findings and historical information.  A plated dinner will be served, followed by a walking tour of Downtown.  After the walk, scheduled for about 45 minutes, guests will return to the Vero Beach Woman’s Club for dessert, coffee and raffle prize drawings.

Tickets for the History and Hauntings of Vero Beach are $75 per person and available on Eventbrite.com. In order to observe social distancing, a limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. Guests may also purchase dinner tickets at the Main Street Vero Beach office at 2036 14th Avenue in Vero Beach.

The Vero Beach Woman’s Club at 1534 21st Street was built in 1916 and is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is an example of a Colonial Revival building with Craftsman/Bungalow style elements.  For many years, The Vero Beach Woman’s Club location was operated as a library.  The after dinner walking tour will include more historical properties in the Downtown area.

Main Street Vero Beach is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalize, preserve and create a vibrant downtown in the area surrounding 14th Avenue. MSVB embraces the time-tested Main Street Approach framework for community-driven and comprehensive revitalization to strengthen the historical city center.  The strategies that guide this approach are organized around four points: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.  Funds raised at the dinner event will be used for Main Street Vero Beach initiatives.
