Anne Frazier Coker, 78, Vero Beach

February 6, 1943 – February 8, 2021

Anne Frazier Coker, 78, of Vero Beach FL was called to her heavenly home to #spendtimewithJesus face to face, Monday, February 8, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. Anne was born February 6, 1943 to Joe Thomas and Mamie Louise Coker, in Evergreen, AL. Her parents shared a rich heritage of faith and the love of Jesus with Anne, who was the 7th of 9 children. She grew up in Castleberry and Evergreen AL. In her youth, she was very active in her local church, school and community. She was secretary of her class and was selected Alabama’s Maid of Cotton. She was formerly married to the late Wayne Frazier of Evergreen who had played for the Kansas City Chiefs in the very first Superbowl.

Anne moved to Vero Beach FL in 1981 with her two children, Troy and Tara.  Her greatest joy was making sure she shared her faith and her love of Jesus with her children (and also later with her grandchildren) and therefore she quickly found their church home and began serving, both in her church and throughout the community. She nourished long lasting friendships by loving and serving well.

In 1993 Anne started her own business, Blessings Casual Dining and Catering, with Troy, Tara and her son in law, Jamie. She continued to share her love for Jesus and her gift of hospitality with great enthusiasm.  She was bold for her Savior and passionate about serving Him. She had a servant’s heart and most who knew her experienced that gift first hand.   She was known for her big hugs and back rubs. She had a bigger than life personality and made a lot of noise for the Lord. She shared the Gospel and the way of salvation with everyone she met.

Anne is preceded in death by her son, Troy Frazier and survived by her daughter and son in law, Tara Frazier Pribula and Jamie Pribula, and her grandchildren, Jamie (JJ) Pribula and Lila Pribula. She also leaves behind her 3 remaining Coker siblings, Faye Rambo, Mary C. Sirmon and Sarah Owen. In retirement she spent a great deal of time traveling with her 3 sisters, aka FAMS (In birth order – Faye, Anne, Mary and Sarah). They were usually seen on their trips dressed in their numerous matching outfits, usually imprinted with their logo, FAMS. The “A” in FAMS will be greatly missed but they each have their own assurance that in God’s perfect timing they will have their own reunion with their dear sister and their savior!

A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:30 am at Pathway Church, 1105 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL.  When social distancing is not possible, masks are encouraged but not required.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to two of the many ministries that were dear to Anne’s heart: Pathway Church Benevolence Ministry, 1105 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32966, or Care Net Pregnancy Center of IRC, 1503 24th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Please earmark “In Memory of Anne Frazier Coker.”
