This year, The Source’s 16th Annual Night of Hope fundraising venue has changed to a Zoom event for obvious reasons, but the face of the event is the same…perhaps even better. The Source believes this approach will be more personal, allowing for less distraction during this informational, encompassing, moving and memorable evening. The place is from your home or office, and the date is Monday evening, February 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
The Zoom event intertwines an encompassing visual production with the sustenance of food and drink, a four-course meal prepared and delivered to each attendees home, by The Source’s trained culinary staff of the Dignity Caterers program. They have sprinkled this production with musical entertainment direct from Broadway, sung by those who represent what the loss of work, hopes, and dreams means to them through their approach in singing three very meaningful songs. The hand-picked words and photos included throughout this video, Produced by Rowlinson Media Group and Co-Produced by Paris Productions, are memorable in a myriad of ways that will truly summarize what The Source is doing for all people inside our community as well as people outside of it.
The two accomplished Broadway stars are the husband and wife team of Anne Brummel and Michael Williams. Those attending the Zoom event will read their full professional biographies, but as singers, dancers and actors, they have each taken their turns, individually or collectively in such popular shows as Cats, Evita, Wicked and most recently My Fair Lady before the Pandemic cut its national tour short. Brummel has a special connection to Vero Beach as she starred as Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia and Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood at The Riverside Theatre. Their songs selected and performed as individual solos, and one song as a duet, are both tremendously moving and inspiring and demonstrate what those in need may be feeling, living and dreaming about for their future.

As first responders, The Source helps provide critical care for physical, spiritual, civic, and social needs. They offer life-changing possibilities to residents in crisis; offer emergency hunger relief, clothing, counseling, support groups, hygiene items, showers, mail and telephone services, benefit referrals and cold weather refuge. The Source has also established five Dignity Programs; four of which are currently underway with the final initiative to be implemented within the next few years and include: Dining with Dignity, Dignity Caterers, Dignity Food Truck, Dignity Bus and Dignity Village.
