The Piper Aircraft Apprenticeship Program, presented in partnership with Indian River State College, is now recruiting applicants for its 2021 Apprenticeship Program. The 2-year program enables apprentices to learn all aspects of fabrication and assembly of aircraft, attend technical classes and receive hands-on training designed to qualify them as Journeymen in Aircraft Assembly. Apprentices receive paid employment and benefits, and the opportunity to launch an exciting and rewarding career, while achieving college course credits that can be used toward a degree. Apprentices start at $14/hour, and upon completion of the program are compensated $18/hour at Piper Aircraft.

The Aircraft Structures, Surfaces, Rigging, and Systems Assembler Apprenticeship Program is a 2-Year, State of Florida Department of Education approved program. Piper’s exciting program is designed to build careers for skilled employees and future leaders from the ground up. Apprentices will become aviation and manufacturing skilled employees, develop leadership skills in the workplace, and be perfectly poised to eventually take on supervisory and management roles at Piper. Apprentices will receive:
- Full-Time paid position with Piper Aircraft along with company benefits.
- Advanced on-the-job training.
- Certificate in Aircraft Structures, Surfaces, Rigging, and Systems Assembly (upon completion).
- Fully funded classroom instruction for the Apprentice Program.
- Personal one-on-one mentor experience.
